Prelude to 'the Chapter After Next'
All of you have now experienced one part of the wedding, now to continue the celebration, let’s head to the largest island of Thailand, the wonderful Phuket!
Although Karan and Anika may be complete opposites in many aspects, one thing they are both undeniably great at is partying and making sure their guests are well looked after. And this special celebration will be no different!
Get ready to raise your glasses to more good times and making amazing memories together at this epic location – memories which will be cherished forever!
Venue
The Wedding ceremony and reception will be held at the Vanderbilt Estate in Phuket, Thailand! This event will be mostly outdoor but there are indoor areas where the guests can relax and enjoy the views.
Enjoy ‘pre-game’ cocktails at this beautiful wedding venue while the couple get ready for the sunset wedding ceremony with a beautiful outdoor setting and prepare for the dancing, dining and entertainment to follow.
Phuket has many beaches, some of them more well-known than others. Our suggested accommodation is at Kamala beach, which is our personal favourite. Other beaches are Kata, Patong (the more popular and longest but not the most peaceful) Karon, Bang Tao, Nai Harn, and Surin.
Timing
We recommend arrival at the wedding venue around 4:00pm to enjoy the pre-sunset views and ambience prior to the wedding ceremony. The sit-down dinner will commence around 7:00pm.
Theme and Attire
Black-Tie Affair. Reminder to the Ladies… Please be sure to wear either heel stoppers, wedges or even consider flats as this is a lawn wedding with flooring only under the tent where dinner will be served!
Also, please take into consideration that this is an outdoor event, so dress appropriately! Although it is December and, in the mountains, it still does get hot!
Accommodation
Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort:
Guests are being provided with a hotel accommodation for the night of the event at the Hyatt Regency Phuket Resort in Kamala beach. This hotel is conveniently located approximately 25 minutes from the wedding venue. Not to worry, transportation to and from the wedding venue has been arranged and will be on standby at all times, until the ‘wee’ hours of the morning! Guests may also choose to stay at another venue of their choice in which case you will need to arrange transportation, we are however happy to assist if needed.
Health and Safety Guidelines
We understand that the COVID-19 pandemic has had an impact on everyone, and we respect that health and safety are of utmost importance. Due to this, and subject to any governmental and regulatory changes or updates, masks must be worn upon entry of the wedding venue.
Prior to your entrance into the Vanderbilt Estate, and to ensure the health and safety of yourself and others in attendance, we will have on-site Antigen testing administered by a support team. We kindly request your cooperation on this matter as we are sure you too, have the safety of all guests at heart.
Upon receiving a negative result, entry will be permitted into the Vanderbilt Estate, where the use of masks will not be necessary for the duration of the event.
Transportation
Transportation in Phuket is a little difficult as each location is around 15-30 minutes per ride. We would recommend either hiring a private car during your stay or you can also use the grab application as well.
Grab
Grab is more expensive in Phuket than Bangkok so don’t be surprised as the distance is quite far and prices are raised! Welcome to ‘island not so island’ life!
