Welcome to Anika and Karan’s Next Chapter! After many years of being together, we are finally taking the next step and are delighted to celebrate our Next Chapter with all of you!
We have created this website for your convenience so you can get to know a little bit about us, details of the event, and have all the basic information you may need leading up to the big day! We have also provided you with our recommendations on fun spots to visit, as well as bars and restaurants we personally love!
Happy browsing and thank you all for joining us on our special day and we cannot wait to see each and every one of you at the event!

Prelude to the Next Chapter
Y’all ever heard of hi5 (the social media platform- NOT the Australian children’s TV series!)? Well, that’s where it started for these two! Then came Facebook… with a birthday reminder which prompted a ‘happy birthday’ message to be posted on Karan’s wall. Three long days later, once Karan had built up the confidence to reply, he sent a short but sweet ‘thank you’, being the man of many words that he is! This is where the story begins…

During a visit back to Bangkok, while Karan was living in LA, and with even more confidence, he took it upon himself to reach out for an ‘in person’ meeting! In comes the extrovert, Anika. The combination of Karan and Anika, two people that in many ways could not be more different, was nothing short of interesting. One date, led to another (the very next day!) and another…and the rest is history. Through trials and tribulations, highs and lows, including a long-distance relationship and multiple other hurdles, Anika and Karan are ready to take the next step of their journey together and are thrilled for you to join them in the celebration that marks the beginning of their ‘Next Chapter’.

Transportation

It is quite easy to get around in Bangkok with many modes of transportation available which are listed below:
Grab

The easiest way to get around would be to download the Grab Application. However, with this mode, you will need to have a local phone number which you can easily purchase at any 7’ Eleven with your passport. Payment methods can be through credit card or cash similar to Lyft or Uber.   Grab also has the selection of modes of transportation whether this be a sedan, a premium car, a van and even a motorbike. Let’s not forget that through to the Grab application, you can also order food! It is a one stop application and highly recommended.

Taxi

If you are in a rush and wish to get somewhere without downloading an app or using your phone, you can also wave down a taxi from the side of the street.  We do not have official taxi stands but if you wave them down, they will stop anywhere. Taxis in Bangkok normally go by the meter and come in all kinds of colors, from blue, red, orange, to green, to yellow, to yellow and green and even pink!

Motorbike Taxi

You also have the local motorbike taxi’s if you want a little bit of a joyride and can hold on tight! These motorbike taxi’s have orange vests on so easily spotted and do usually have a stand where they are all located ready to ride!

Don’t forget that, whether you are staying at a hotel or a condominium, the bell boy or security guard will normally help you get the form of transportation you require.
